The PADI Nitrox course, or Enriched Air Diver, focuses on the use of oxygen-enriched gas mixtures for diving. During the course, participants learn about the composition of Nitrox mixtures, their advantages, and how they affect the diver’s physiology.

Nitrox is one of the most popular specialties to choose from! The gas mixture is favored by experienced divers due to its multiple beneficial properties, such as extended bottom time and shortened necessary surface interval times—-especially concerning divers engaging in consecutive dives.

Following completion of the course, nitrox-certified divers will have a thorough understanding of the benefits and limitations of enriched air, techniques for properly analyzing and labeling Nitrox mixtures, and how to plan safe dives using Nitrox, including no-decompression times.

PREREQUISITES:

• Min. age 12 years old.
• Open Water certification.
